Personal Interests

Middle Eastern Dance
I owe a lot to my teachers, namely, Anthea Poole, Agnes Wanman, and Marnie Taylor. They gave me a good foundation in different aspects of the dance to create my own style . I love being part of a special group in a world wide community. It's fun to meet other dancers and share knowledge. It gives me the opportunity to educate the general public and share my talent with the local community. I love how the dance is not rigid and allows for individual creativity in choreography and costuming. The music is so captivating with its rhythms and melodies .

New Interests

I wish I knew more about dance in the very ancient Middle Eastern societies. How was the music and dance in the time of the Pharaohs? Or in the temples of Sumer? Also, I am interested in learning about Persian style and Dunyavi Gypsy. This latest trend of dancing to non-traditional music, experimental Middle Eastern dance intrigues me as well.
