Rajiyyah saw her first belly dance performance in 2003 at the age of 32 at Fayetteville's International Folk Festival and decided she'd like to give it a try. At the time Rajiyyah was a cheerleading instructor ad already loved to dance and perform but was excited about learning something new. After her first class with Alexandra, she was hooked and hasn't looked back! She took classes with Alexandra and at the end of 2004, she auditioned with Shadows of The Fire and has been with them ever since...
Interests
I am so glad to be apart of a wonderful belly dance troupe! We have such a variety of dancers and dances that it makes it interesting at all times. I plan to keep growing and learning as well as helping others learn more about belly dancing and demonstrating to the general community that belly dancing is a wonderful form of dancing and is for everyone! No matter how old or young you are, tall or short you are or what kind of body shape you have, it's all about the dance!
